The engine and transmission, including electronic control hardware, were taken from the series BMW M4 Coupé. The carbon bonnet is inherited from the BMW M4 GTS. In addition, the BMW M4 GT4 has carbon-fibre doors, a motorsport-specific front splitter and rear wing, and a racing exhaust system.
