The Original conversion belongs to AssettoPedia. This is the VW Carmann Ghia Custom tuned for La Carrera Panamericana. The engine is transplanted from an old Porsche 911 (assettodrive) to be able to compete with the top class on the Carrera Panamericana and of course, the drivetrain, gearbox and suspensions has been tuned to be able to handle the hp produced by the machine. The Car is higher than the race model to get more suspension travel for a better ride on bumpy roads. 400 Kg has been added to the mass of the car, taking in account the new engine.
